The 1Community Solar-Powered Multimedia Centers project is an extension of the SMILE Project (Scalable Multimedia in Local Education), a visionary partnership between the Federal Ministry of Education, Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), and other stakeholders. The primary objective of this initiative is to establish Solar-Powered Multimedia Centers in schools and communities across Nigeria, offering virtual education systems, multimedia libraries, and internet access via wireless hotspots. The project aims to provide educational materials in English, Pidgin English, and local Nigerian languages, empowering learners of all ages and backgrounds. To realize this vision, the project will be funded through crowdfunding campaigns, generous donations, and government support.
